What’s the Opposite of a Phallic Symbol? Mar 24, 2007 | 3 comments A couple years ago, my friend Amy accused me of always taking pictures of trees as if they were phallic symbols. So this one’s for you, Amy. 3 Comments Sarah on March 25, 2007 at 12:01 pm It seems I have had many conversaitons about what the word is for resembling female genitalia. I always thought a phallic symbol meant resembling sexual genitalia and it is most often used in reference to the penis. So I just looked it up and the definition very clears refers to a penis only. However, I found many medical articles that specify male or female phallus… so I think there may still be a chance that I am right and that lay people only use one half of the word’s possible meaning.
