Was he rolling in the snow, or is that from it being really windy there? Looks like Laura is instigating some shenanigans at Sarah’s house 🙂 Mine is from a morning walk a couple days ago. Really nice park where Corrie and I went to walk before work (because otherwise he makes my head explode all day at the office). Reply Rusty Spur on December 20, 2008 at 2:16 pm That was a packed tight layer of snow caked on from the wind. Last Saturday’s storm is being called “the storm of the century” here. It was absolutely unreal. I managed to get out to the barn with the intention of blanketing Jericho but saw that he was dry next to his skin with a good layer of fur and then that nice layer of snow for insulation and he wasn’t shivering even though it was 36 below zero and the wind was blowing a constant 100 mph – what does that make the windchill? – so I left him alone. It’s great that you have Corrie to get you out walking morning and night. 😉 Reply Rusty Spur on December 20, 2008 at 2:17 pm Geez, I have to leave a whole other comment to be able to check the auto email box. Reply Sarah on December 24, 2008 at 5:06 pm Yeah, I was curious about Jericho too. Wow, I feel bad for horses who live in Montana in the winter! Mine was super funny. Mal came home from the bar and Laura convinced him to learn traditional Ukrainian dance. He actually did pretty well, and it was hilarious to watch. I wish I had a dog to walk every day! 🙂 Reply DeAnna on December 24, 2008 at 8:10 pm Sarah, I’m telling you, your tea cup needs to go outside at least twice a day. Montana in the winter…I’ve been thinking about this because folks around here are freaking out about the snow and how it’s getting down to like [gasp] 20 degrees (that above zero) at night. My dog class instructor keeps sending out e-mail reminders that your dog should never be out in the snow for more than 10 minutes at a time. I wonder how she feels about dogs going outside when it’s -20. She probably hinks that Duke should have a potty pad inside so he doesn’t have to go out at all.
