Preston and I are still on our Secret Squirrel mission this week, but on our way we stopped to visit my mom in Northern Montana for a few days. This country just blows my mind. I went to high school here in a nearby town, graduating in a class of 32 people. There were 100 kids in the whole 4-year high school, and many of them were bused in from quite a long way out in the country where they would have gone to a one-room schoolhouse all through grade school. (I’m not that old – this was in the 1990s, not the 1890s.)

There really isn’t a way to truly capture this landscape with a camera, but I can never resist trying.
